At work I wrote a 3 page business proposal for an ice themed restaurant with ice plates an glasses.

I still think it would be pretty cool.

Ice themed restaurant

"those are rookie numbers, you gotta pump up those numbers up."

Hotel De Glace

A hotel made out of ice, including ice furniture, and yes, ice glasses to drink out of.

I’m not too hot on this idea.

So for anyone considering laser cutting, (a) it smells a lot and (b) it can catch fire, both of which can be a problem in residential dwellings.

I take it laser cutting was a manic hobby... 😂

Not me (yet) - I just did enough research to find https://www.youtube.com/@justinlaser/videos recommendations and advice before buying anything.

I looked it up, and it looks involved. Hope you're able to play with it some! Sometimes I say that if you get even 15 minutes of pleasure from it, it's worth it. Life is short and full of disappointments anyway.

I've done this with painting, leatherworking, embroidery, body language school, being a doula, coaching, and probably a few more. Cringe a bit when i think back to how excited I was.

ah, yeah table top mini games are definately involved. luckily im set up for it with tools and paints as I've been into this sort of thing for over 20 years. it's just getting into an entirely new game i haven't played before takes an initial monetary investment. that was my focus on commenting here.

I see! I'm wishing you lots of fun with this new game then. But i hear you on going overboard...
