Okay. I've talked through the key issues bothering me and there's a bit more clarity. I've jotted down my thoughts and a bit of a plan on a page and I feel slightly calmer. I'm not sure what's next but at least that's something.

Weird question, that I'm not too sure who to ask. But since I started this new job June 12th, do I need to lodge a tax return for that period of 18 days at my job?

I'll still need to do one since I worked at a convention last year, but just wondering what the procedure is regarding this new job...

If you worked for pay in that financial year, then yes I’d say you’ll need to lodge a tax return.

Yes, you need to lodge for anything you earned in that financial year
