apart from Aston's comeback, stroll being third and ahead of Alonso surprises me even more

Stroll was quicker than Alonso in every part of qualifying yesterday
The way this was laid out I originally thought Stroll got second and was shocked. It then occurred to me that he only got third….. wait he got third?
Say what you want about him being a bit immature, but I'm happy for Stroll
How did Aston do so well again?!
How did Aston rebound so fast? What the hell happened?
Rain started falling as Q3 started, only a few managed to put in semi-decent laps.
They also have a decent setup this track. The gap to Merc/Ferrari was smaller than the last couple races.
The 3rd and 4th was due to good team strategy to get a lap down early in Q3. They did well enough still on their own merit to make it to Q3, but I suspect they’d have been much lower if the cars weren’t compromised by the weather.
Bigger question for me was why Perez came out so late for Q3 when RB clearly wanted Max out as early as possible.
