That seems troublesome for accountability for scams and returns.

Exactly, Amazon was given unlimited money that is why they were able to make it. They operated at huge losses for a decade or more.

If you can decide what's on it is it a marketplace or is it your own personal merch site?

I don't know, computer parts? Those seem to sell anywhere.

I don't see how they'd be more privacy focused than any other P2P Provider, unless they aren't P2P, but that poses other potential concerns. Either way, if they're shipping physical goods you have to give them a Physical address to ship to, which they have to store for the shipment period at minimum. I'm skeptical, but it'd like for a service like this to work out.
