Does anyone else think it is ironic to buy a phone from one of the most unprivate companies in order to have a private experience?
Programmer Humor
As someone who bought Pixel specifically to install Graphene on it, I definitely found it super ironic.
do you need a pixel for graphene or can it be installed on any phone?
Pixel is sadly the only phone having the security architecture used in graphene
This makes the irony so much more irony-y
There's a limited selection of phones available. Generally the ones with good specs and a good metal frame that is well supported and has readily available cases and accessories that can be bought from a local store come from only the unprivate companies.
Cries with his Nokia for which no replacement case is available after 4 years...
How the fuck is this related to programming? Feels more like anti corporate circle jerk material.
I guess installing roms makes you an elite haxor these days?
Tbh I don't even look at the community it's posted in, I just updoot. But yeah this is completely off topic from the community, nothing with this has to do with coding.
Yeah man, it takes a whole three clicks on a webpage and a USB cable to install Graphene. That literally makes me Elliot Anderson.
Obviously the ven diagram fits. Makes me fondly remember /r/reddit back in the day.
Nothing has to be perfect. We sit at the precipice of a federated future. Let's have some fun.
Build quality wise i definitely prefer Samsung, but they gotta install OneShit, Knox and like a dozen different clones of GMS apps.
I wish I could put Graphene on the S23
Plus if Samsung uses a snapdragon chip it's impossible to install anything but Android because you can't unlock the boot loader.
Or buy a Motorola and you get a non bloatware free android with handy easy flashlight and camera
Are Motorola phones decent and which are on Verizon? I'm OG data plan still.
I love them, that's all I've had for the past like 8 years. You can get good deals on refurbished ones, I just bought a 2022 moto edge for $170 on Amazon. Just make sure if you get one you get the Verizon version, they usually say in the title listing which carrier they are for.
