MODERATORS

The c/cosplay community has no image/banner/description/sidebar, and the 'moderator' who created it has no activity anywhere except for setting up several dozen NSFW-titled communities the same 'nothing but a community name' way.

I want this community to exist, and from the response to posts yesterday & today it seems others do as well. Is it possible to request to be made a moderator of that so I can try to cultivate more of a community instead of an unmoderated space?

I'm not an admin and can't grant your request, but did you at-mention the mod directly to try to arrange a direct transfer? The admins will probably ask that question and request that you attempt a direct transfer prior to admin-intervention. If the mod fails to respond after some reasonable waiting period, your case for admin transfer will be stronger.

I sent a message to the mod asking, I didn’t want to clutter the posts of the sub itself

They did end up replying to the message, so I'm now a co-mod on the space

Sounds like you've done all the right things. Hopefully an admin will chime in soon.

Sorry for the delay but first step should always be to reach out to the current owner/moderator. If there is no reply - meaning the current mod/owner is inactive - you could send an email to [email protected] to create a ticket or just post it here. Bit of patience every now and then though - busy times! :)
