Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.

As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.

Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

What emulator do you use for GBA games? mGBA is a appimage if you download it from Emudeck but the flathub version isn't good in gaming mode? So what would you recommend instead?

Can't you install Retroarch with emudeck and use that frontend to play GBA instead?

That's how I do it in Deck and Switch, and even in the desktop PC. It's the easiest way

I just use whatever emudeck has by default, I don't worry about stuff like packaging formats

Retroarch for everything that it will run well. Mgba on retroarch for sure

I don't like Retroarch or rather I don't want to l learn it since it's a bit complicated

It's not that complicated, and EmuDeck takes care of it for you anyways

For everything old school I use retroarch, I basically only play up to ps2 anyway, that way I get my playtimes added up on retroarch if that's something you care about
