As with /r/411 this is where you ask what Community you're looking for but not finding. Perhaps a bit more helpful now that some communities are only found on certain instances.

Found/new community announcements - there are numerous "announcement type communities - see https://lemmy.ca/post/612532

There is also [email protected]

Before you request There are several resources available to find communities and resources and these have been pinned to the top.

Hey all, I have been adding community rss feeds by adding the community name + .xml to my feed reader. Works great for my home instance lemmy.ca but trying to add the .xml for a community I am subscribed to from another instance craps out with the login page requirement.

For example, adding https://lemmy.ca/c/lemmy411.xml works fine in the rss reader but adding https://lemmy.world/c/technology.xml does not work because I am not on lemmy.world.

Also https://lemmy.ca/c/[email protected] fails with feed not found "Join Lemmy"

Any ideas? Maybe I am missing something obvious.

You should try asking on https://lemmy.ca/c/lemmy_ca_support and maybe https://lemmy.ca/c/main (and there's also https://lemmy.ca/c/[email protected] if needed)

Let me know if you get an answer because I'm interested as well
