my mate helped me masturbate yesterday does that make us gay
Is the constant scrolling/page updates being prioritized? I've recommended Lemmy to a few friends in the last weeks and every single one of them has mentioned the unintended scrolling making Lemmy unusable. It's less of a problem on mobile apps like Jerboa, but on desktop it's pretty painful.
How was your day?
Is there a way to see a list of servers my server is federated with?
Click the "Instances" link at the bottom of any page.
How do you make someone a mod before they make a post?
They have to comment first, actions on users are done on their comment.
Why /c/? Just curious. /t/ Would have made more sense to me.
/c/ for community
That makes perfect sense, sorry to waste your time.
What is the reasoning for /t/ ?
What's your favorite musical artist or group, and why is it Spandau Ballet?
Hey I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
For starters I wanna thank the devs for such a cool place you guys created. This has so much potential to be the next big thing out there.
Anyhow, I wanted to know the following: How can I DM someone in lemmy? I know Lemmy is piracy friendly but since I run a filesharing /c/ how cautious should I be?
There isn't any private messaging or group messaging yet, that's in the works.
Lemmy will always be friendly to file-sharing, no need to be cautious. If this instance ever picks up, I'll move the hosting somewhere safer, but the data will always be good.
Do you already have a plan how federation is going to work? For example, how will forums be federated between instances? And will eg Mastodon users be able to follow a forum?
I have the API written out here. The forums are considered groups in activitypub lingo, im not sure if mastodon supports following them. But thats the main federation ability, to be able to follow communities on other instances.
It is possible to add Lemmy as part of another site?
Search is coming along nicely, it's fast and relevant, but it would be nice to see the actual community the comment result is is coming from too (it shows the community for posts but not comment search results). Would be good for context.
I'll have to think of a way to do this.
Yo, have y'all survived?
