I would suggest to auto seed anything until 2x or more, then if then if it is still seeding well keep it going... any torrent that uas under 10 hoasts in the swarm I'll keep seeding, like forever. My top 10 seeds (all with under 10 in the swarm) are all over a ratio of 50 and one is in the 100's
Keep the hard to find stuff alive
I'd start with any torrent that you ever struggled to get seeders for. then i like to try and hit some kinda older classic type stuff that i like and want others to see as well. tough to give any other thoughts without knowing what you DO like to torrent lol. only knowing what you don't doesn't get us far.
What's your goal? To have a good ratio or to help seed obscure stuff?
I guess, I want to focus on a good seed ratio.
Configure auto download. RSS is ok but IRC announce is better.
Getting up on torrents in the first few minutes is the key to building ratio.
I like anime. I would seed torrents of anime that are no longer seeded by others. Like the older ones from around 2010 or before.
For day to day use I generally grab anything that I am interested in and leave it seeding indefinitely, or until I need to prune to free up some space.
If I need to boost ratio I grab something that is new and hot to seed for a bit. In general though, I try to seed things that have lower seeder counts so that they remain available. Many times these are not things that I am really interested in.
If you are not using any private trackers then I suggest you get on one and just be active. If there is a particular thing you are interested in then there is probably a tracker for it.
I also seed Linux ISOs but those are public so it doesn't help when it comes to ratio or anything. It's just a thing that I do because I can.
Maniac (2023) is a series you might like. Despite the name, its more of a cassette futurism cyberpunk world with a scary amount of dystopian parallels to our own.
Thank you for the recommendation!
If you have set up a seed box just to seed stuff rather than get copies of things you want to consume then I would suggest picking a media type and finding stuff that doesn't have a lot of seeds and hosting that.
