I absolutely loved this. Did suffer a lot from ‘tv rush cels’, particularly a scene where

was really poor.

But I didn’t care! The whole thing was such hype. And the music. The music! I’ve been dying to talk to you about the music. A Fate show with music by Hiroyuki freakin’ Sawano? We are not worthy. Such an incredible banger, that insert song/ending theme too. Oh speaking of, the EP of the soundtrack is out on the streaming platforms. It’s good.

I only found out that Strange/Fake was out after Spotify recommended me the soundtrack EP. Credits to Hiroyuki Sawano, everything he composes hits perfectly. Also you might want to format your spoiler like this:

Yeah, I edited my post a bunch of times already, but none of the clients I used understood spoilers at all. You’d think Lemmy would use the standard spoiler tags that most Markdown sites use.

But thanks, it works on the ‘regular’ Lemmy sites now.

The most hyped I've been regarding fate since Heaven's Feel III.

And I really like the artstyle, feels different from regular fate artstyle in a good way.

Heaven's Feel, especially part III, really cemented a common pattern in the Fate series for me:

Start off with an interesting, but understandable, premise
Set things in motion, maybe hint at twists
Go off the rails with things that some would consider "ass-pulls", but do it with such hyped up animation/soundtrack (nine-lives blade works comes to mind), that it doesn't matter anymore
Sort of try to wrap it all up, fail
Create another route, prequel, or alternate universe
???
PROFIT.

Heaven's Feels greatest strength was it's insane animation and great soundtrack to compliment it.

The plot was also very edgy and weird which suited the above.

The Saber Alter vs Rider fight is still the best fight animation I've ever seen.

Well right now I guess it's classified as an 'OVA', and it's an hour long. But it could be the first episode of a season. It's unclear whether they're making more than just the one.

Ok yeah I just watched it. It feels like there is more. Like, it ends in a cliffhanger, so if there isn't more that would be really ... strange lol
