I mean there are fewer missile strikes in Spa so he’s got a point

I agree. Spa is dangerous in the rain but there have been attempts to make it safer over the years but it's still an old school style track. Jeddah is a new track that could be argued was designed to be dangerous; it's very fast with little run off and a lot of blind corners.

Jeddah is unnerving to watch. If I remember, drivers often report it being one of the most stressful and tiring races because of the requirements to be attentive.

Yeah, I recall Norris talking about it after the first race, but they did improve it and for the last GP.

Max is probably right but that doesn't make Spa (my favorite track!) "safe". Two deaths in 4 years is very unusual for modern motor racing. Something needs to be done with Raidillon, like automatic instant yellow flags whenever a car leaves the track.

Or maybe a speed limit through Raidillon in the rain makes sense.

Spa is an older track, with a lot of change already to it. I’m all for safety but more damage to the environment is not something the government will allow, so if they push for a safer Spa, then there will be no Spa.

I think in this case they could have stopped the race, because every track would have been dangerous in this conditions.

I mean he is right. Spa is only dangerous when raining and the visibility is poor.

Spa was great when the cars had less downforce and had to slow down at the Radillion. Now they can do it flat out and it's too dangerous.
