Are there any Discworld fans who would be able to expand on this? My only real exposure to the universe is through internet comments about the Sam Vimes boot theory of economics and other funny quips like that - it definitely seems like this comes out of left field based on what I’ve heard of Terry Pratchett.

The headline is clickbait. Here’s the crux:
As reported by The Telegraph, the caution is confined to the audiobooks and seeks to provide context, stating, “The first book in the Discworld series – The Colour of Magic – was published in 1983. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this.”
Entirely factual and inoffensive.
It’s true, but I wonder what aspects of the books they feel needed such a notice in order to provide context.
I can only assume they thought readers would be surprised or put off by something, or do they put a caution notice on all of their books written in the early 80’s?
And also completely unnecessary.
