A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Just block the communities that focus on Reddit. It doesn't really spill out into other communities.

I checked and I'd need to unsubscribe from Technology, Shitpost, aww, Showerthoughts, but yeah I have the feeling that it's already slowly getting better.
Mastodon is even worse. It feels like a quarter of the posts are about Twitter or Musk.
Lemmy will get better with time. We're getting some amazing clients, which really helps.
