Perhaps someone stuffed spez in a locker and turned the api back on?
We will see if it was the board of directors or not soon I bet.
Memorial to "rif is fun for Reddit" Android app, aka "reddit is fun", shut down after June 30, 2023

I think this is what other people have observed in that it currently still works when you're not signed in. I'm sure reddit will "fix" this soon, assuming they want to stop people scraping data using the API.
Well, I'm signed into Boost and it stills works. Maybe they are just behind on stuff because Spez made Reddit just a shitshow with this API nonsense.
I signed in and have full functionality, they'll probably "fix" it soon though. Either way I'm still ready to let reddit die. I don't want Spez to make a cent.
Same here, really weird. Not logged in and with boost, even NSFW is still available.
Maybe they were saying they will do this, but the development, par for the reddit course, is just not really in a "get this done" mood?
It stopped working for me on June 30th. I patched it with Revanced to make it work. Now I'm wondering if I needed to do that or not.
Even the patched version doesn't have NSFW though
Yes it does. Also, if you want to prevent ever losing NSFW, then just create your own sub. Mods are given access to NSFW outside the official Reddit app. You don't have to do anything with your sub. Just create one.
If you want to log in, then yes.
Screw reddit anyway.
it logged me out from my account but it still works without an account. same as relay pro
Mine loaded too maybe they seen a traffic problem at reddit.
Happened to me too. Maybe it has to do with the different timezones.
It wasn't working yesterday, it's weird.
Weird, Boost works non stop for me.
What's especially bizarre is that porn is still accessible through the API
That isn't due to be switched off until July 5th so a few more days!

It was working for me if I signed out after the final goodbye message. Sad to say I don't think I will be going back to reddit as the site isn't the same anymore. I had been using RiF for as long as I can remember and my account was almost 10 years old.
Has there been any messaging about whether this is costing the dev money? Does us using the app mean they'll get a huge invoice at some point?
Also, are other 3rd party apps working still as well?
Now For Reddit (Android) also still works. I just checked out of curiosity, and can confirm.
From the UK. Still working. I deleted my Reddit account too 😂
