This is amazing! What's the ring around the eyepiece?
You twist it in ans out to get your eyepiece at the right distance for focus.
The base looks extremely wobbly. One touch of the focuser and it’s gonna oscillate left and right for minutes
Oh that is so cool! How well does it maintain collimation?
Really well actually. I printed this last year and I haven't had to fiddle with it since.

Was this difficult to set up? And how long?

Hardest part was learning how to colminate the mirrors so everything is perfectly aligned. It took a few days of printing.
Isn't it incredible. I made one earlier this year. Had a chance to try it out yet?
Yeah this is my print from last year. The funny thing was I never knew the moon just doesn't come up at night for weeks straight until I built it. I had to wait a bit to catch it.
Can't wait for Jupiter and Saturn to pop back up this year.
I managed to get Jupiter sighted in. It's incredible with this scope you can see some of its moons
