With the threat of not being allowed to enter the country or potentially even worse fates, are any of you thinking about traveling to the world cup? If so, how are you planning to do so?

The world cup most recently was in Russia and Qatar, I think the fear of it going wrong in USA is a bit exaggerated honestly.

Sorry, but I missed the World Cup that kidnaps participants to send them to death camps in South America.

These sort of events are massive ~~sports washing~~ PR campaigns by the country hosting them. Russia got a far worse/oppressive government than Trump's clownshow, yet somehow it turned out fine. I'm open to the possibility that I will be proven wrong, but greatly doubt that it will turn out be a problem in 2026.

Considering it is all about the money you may have a point. Bad things are going to happen unless something is done to stop the current trajectory. So while the majority of people might be okay a minority will not be.

I don't find this acceptable and I think by downplaying this you are doing it a great disservice. The US could end up just like Russia and perhaps even worse in the near future.

Let's hope that this doesn't happen.
