I'm going to buy my old laptop off work but it needs a new SSD.
I don't want to spend too much on a replacement SSD, but I need to balance speed and capacity.
There's probably no point looking on the second hand market as SSDs just wear out and I'd be buying one with a shorter shelf life vs going new
SSDs are getting pretty dirt cheap, you can get a 240gb for $29. Is it SATA or NVME?
Its NVME and I figured I'd go 2tb gen 4 since that's what's in there.
I can get one for about $169 but I'm all about cost minimisation
2tb is heaps for a laptop, do you need that much?

I just figured I'd keep it consistent. The HP SSD I'm looking at is at least a known brand and a bit faster for just a bit more.
The current laptop is filing up, but that's from trying to get old games running on it through WINE and not being partitioned properly because I left Windows on there. I could back everything up to the new laptop and do a clean sweep of the old one.
I said "ok google" and she replied "I can't find your WiFi. You might want to check your router and connections". Ok. Fair enough but why did the one in the kitchen start playing arabic music? I don't even know what Rayan FM is but it says "Stay with us". Ok, but a please mightโve been nice.

Uggghh I just want to switch my brain off and lie in bed with the AC on watching Animal Kingdom S4 (finally Ellen Barkin is getting phased out. I hate her acting in this show)
