I've changed so much by reducing my adhd medication.

It's mind blowing.

Imagine all of a sudden, your crippling social anxiety is gone. Just like that.

Unreal.

You would be unstoppable! This is an excellent development!

I'm glad you're better. You are a sweet kind man who deserves better in the world.

Got robbed for the first time ever, just some stuff out of the garage. Still unlikely to vote liberal/nationals.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Oh wow, how did they get in?

Damn, that sucks. It may be expensive but I hope it was nothing sentimental.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you didn't lose too much from it.

I'm watching Underbelly for the first time since it "aired" and we all watched it on bootleg dvds smuggled over the border. Still pretty gripping.

I liked when they fought for the gun like two brothers fighting for a remote. Just both grab it and wriggle.

First day of Erin Patterson's Trial has been pretty wild - including her potentially faking cancer?!

Lease signed. Bond paid. Automatic rent payments set up. Countdown to key aquisition: 9 days

Nothing has encouraged me more to have serious conversations with political fence sitters about what an absolute skid mark Clive Palmer is than the amount of spam I have received from him this week.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago (3 children)

I don't know what makes me so special, but I haven't received political spam texts from anyone. Maybe just lucky?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago

Neither have I. Counting my blessings.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago

Me either, I'm feeling a bit left out!

I look at it this way - every mobile number I bock is a future promotional number blocked.

Old friend asked me the other evening if I missed Carlton.

I do not.

Carlton Gardens were nice but I think I liked them because there were no front gardens in the streets, it was just terrace houses. Here there are large front gardens every where with all kinds of plantings and designs.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 days ago

That's the thing I like about living in the suburbs. There's a man a few streets away who has filled his garden with beautiful wildflowers and every time I pass it, it makes me happy :)

Just had my teeth cleaned at the dentist. Holy fucking shit that sucked.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

My dentist sent me to a periodontist for a deep clean. It took two hours and $3000 dollars. That sucked too.

I started the day with multiple packidge notifs and great delight, i end it with no packidge and great aggro.

Bonus aggro: trying to tell a vendor about a serious code issue on their back end and getting shuffled to the AI dumbass repeatedly telling me invalid solutions that assume i'm at fault. Gaaaaaaaaah

Doctor problems.

Going in to get a few jabs. Wouldn't let me in because staff yesterday said I need a referral. Got the referral, turns out needed a script. told the GP, said I need a script. He reluctantly writes one up, I go next door to the chemist grab the jab and back to the clinic to be seen by a nurse (who was lovely).

Absolutely pointless waste of time.

PTV charges by time but 45min journey turns into 2 hours

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago

Got some hot cross buns on clearance from Aldi, for the applie and cinnamon ones for 2 bucks.

I just ate a big bowl of super crunchy chips from the air fryer, oh they were so good, haven’t had them for ages.

So it turns out the Perth Museum is massive. I've been here three hours and done, like, one floor

Procrastinated biiiig time today but wow, I have to confess, when I finally got around to it... ChatGPT saved me hours of time and heaps of mental energy by spitting out a perfect script that did exactly what I needed it to and I got the thing done in 5 minutes. Even was able to get an instant solution when I initially got an error (it was because my Python path environmental variable had been misconfigured which was an easy fix). And able to get it to explain or run snips of the code to see what the output would be like...

I feel a bit dumber for not figuring it out myself but then again, seriously, I have better things to be doing with my time and brain right now. So excited that this did what I needed!

Late to work because I was too busy reading the drama between Nagi from RecipeTin Eats and Brooke Bellamy/Penguin, oops!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

My take on the whole drama: hmm, maybe I should make a caramel slice.

I've just realised Miss Meow is going to be able to go outside in the new place. She's not going to be able to scale the colourbond fence, and as long as I make sure there are no gaps under gates or anything like that it should be secure enough.

We have phone call & meeting booths in this co-working space for a reason. Guy who works in an office takes call out of the office so as to not bother his staff, but is now pacing around the open plan area where I sit talking loudly on the phone. Make it make sense.

I started looking at furniture and now I have a cart full of stuff. This is possibly also a gateway that will lead me to looking at rugs, and once I do that who knows where it could end.

YarraByte seems to be taking the 1st off in honour of labour movements worldwide.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago

the tide was very low today

I found a sinker and a very good large abalone shell that has a blister pearl

the main attribute of sinkers and lures is they have to attract fishermen into buying them

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago

oh fuck off.

I get a text from a random number "i coudln't find ur address" apparently this is what passes for a fucking missed delivery card with couriers nowadays

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago

there is nothing more frustrating than watching a parcel you fucking well know could have been delivered TODAY if they hadn't been a lazy shit head back across the other side of the state

Off again today but attended a meeting with the slt of a large national franchise chain.

They were actually pretty funny lol I was surprised how they didn't have a giant stick shoved up their ass.

Othetwise the open mic place is 2 train stops away from work. So very keen to play a show before the end of next month.

I can see why everyone just uses Shopify for online stores these days. I went with Woocommerce because it's free, but setting up variable items like clothes with different sizes is such a headache.

It's a manual process either way. You either go into every product and set up the variations yourself, or you upload one CSV, have to turn on product variations for each product individually, then upload a second CSV with all the variations.
