I want to know where the GTX 960 lands on that list.
Do you have any more of them... pixels?
How it appears depends on what frontend (web interface / app) you're using to view with, but the full-sized image was uploaded and can be viewed in a new tab or whatever if your frontend ~~doesn't~~ only shows a smaller size in the comment itself.
edit: typo
The image itself is fairly large. Lemmy just scales it down. If you're viewing it in a web browser, just open it in another tab or zoom or whatever.
Gotcha, thanks!
"compromises" is a very delicate way of putting it. So very glad I snagged a 4080 at deep runout discount prices, looks like I'll be holding it for many years at this rate
The tech website I frequent reviewed the 16GB one - because that's the only one Nvidia would send them. I think the 8GB is not going to be popular.
The 16GB just about cleared the low bar set by the 4060 Ti.
These days it only gets interesting at the 70 series. Need a GPU? Do yourself a favor and spend that extra 200.
Do yourself a favor and buy one from AMD.
No argument here although I got myself a 4070 last year because DLSS3.
what this fails to address is everything other than fps and how at this point in time Nvidia is the only GPU company and please prove me wrong
AMD and Intel are both incapable of producing fully functioning GPUs and hate to type this but it is true and remember AMD Eloned theirs by taking over ATI
besides fps Nvidia produces cards capable of performing most task without compromise of features some being integral to most setups such as sound or shaders
AMD and Intel GPUs work and produce good fps but that is it and when you really need a specific feature most likely not there or a compromised version like HDMI 2.1 on 2.0 using PCON basically a simulated 2.1 HDMI
for setups that need a GPU but no gaming 8GB is perfect
The fuck are you talking about? AMD cards are constantly sold out and price per performance are often way better than Nvidia.
AMD drivers while in the past have had issues, so has Nvidia. I've had multiple generations of each manufacturer and neither has ever gotten it just right.
Nvidia is floating on their name right now and got big because of the LLM fad, not because they're better somehow.
Nvidia sucks majorly but fact remains that is the only option if you need more than just good fps
AMD and Intel cards both have shader issues, neither does digital sound like Nvidia, drivers suck across the board with all three manufacturers along with provided software though
But at the end of the day Nvidia GPU will produce the desired results more often than Intel or AMD
Intel and AMD did do better on the integrated graphics on CPUs here lately than their past attempts with Intel having better onboard graphics than their dedicated GPUs
Honestly need a fourth option but that shipped sailed away in the 90s
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Nvidia has the worst drivers by far right now. 50 series cards are crashing left and right.
Yeah, I still miss my Voodoo 2...
That thing was a beast
My budget 133MHz Pentium work a Voodoo 2 could keep up in games with the high-end 200MHz systems some friends had
Good times...
Not everyone needs HDMI 2.1 though. There are many use cases where AMD or even an Intel B570 works fine.
your comment has the same mentality that gave us Walmart netbooks with Windows 10 installed on 64GB storage because not everyone is going to need a lot of storage even though Windows updates along with normal usage will quickly evaporate that small amount of storage
why have technology in first place when we could go back to fires which worked just fine too
With all due respect, this is a bit reductionist. Comparing a Windows 64GB eMMC laptop to the Intel B570 is arguably not a fair comparison.
Was not comparing those two but was comparing your comments to ones that gave rise to those horseshit netbooks that included some with soldered on storage
Not everyone needs blank the shit model will work just fine for the masses
If manufacturers knew patrons would demand proper better product than that is what would be produced not the swill being served today
