USian here, stop buying American, buy European.

I worked for Google's contractors doing GIS work, I have ZERO respect for US companies in terms of the value they bring to the table or the fundamental indecency with which they will try to rip you off or force you into shitty subscriptions. In the past 10 years large U.S. corporations have completely gutted what made them agile and valuable in the first place, these are just dead husks wobbling over totally termite ridden foundations, and the current economic crash completely makes sense to me for the value of these companies crashing.

There are many smart people here, I don't want to condemn the labor of all of the good people here in the US, but we the average people of the U.S. barely get any share of the money you pay to large corporations for our labor, we don't control our politicians, our economy, our largest corporations, our military, our immigration enforcement....the list goes on and on. DO NOT SUPPORT large US corporations that are holding our futures hostage, DO NOT BUY US PRODUCTS until the U.S. stops heading towards violence and fascism.

If there is any way you can obtain the fruits of U.S. labor without paying large U.S. corporations, now is a great time to do so.

Macron's government to every administration and projects : Keep buying MS Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS, don't look at all the providers in Europe (and France).

How is Macron so based? I, as a German, used to hate on France, but they are holy based the last months

[–] [email protected] 2 points 23 hours ago

You only see the PR stunts. And probably only the good ones.

In France macron is (or at least was) quite unpopular for what he's doing within the country. But in foreign affairs he's really based already for years I would say. One of the few persons who had visions for the EU before putin and now trump reminded everyone to be happy we have it.

As an American, who the fuck even has to be told that, by now? If you know what’s going on, you have an obligation to make American corporations shriek their fucking heads off as they hemorrhage profits.

As an American:

FFS STOP BUYING AMERICAN!

Most people?

I think sometimes people on here forget we have been filtered out of general society first by joining Reddit and then by moving here we are sort of in a liberal echo chamber.

When I interact with regular friends IRL, they don’t care and they really don’t understand what’s happening with the world. So it’s a good thing Macron is sayin this as it spreads the message.

I could not have said it better myself!

This and the subreddits I frequent are dangerously filled with people whom I agree with and that agree with me. Back in the "good" days when Forums were all the rage I was exposed to a lot more variety and got to talk to people who were worth having a discussion with. Too bad I was a young idiot and the forum I spent the most time on was paintball forum. (TechPB if anyone's curious)
