B-movie horror star Bruce Campbell (himself) spends most of his time wisecracking with his agent (Ted Raimi), drunk dialing his ex-wife (Ellen Sandweiss) or dealing with the occasional singing prostitute (Janelle Farber). But then he's kidnapped by teenage fans in Oregon who think "Evil Dead" hero Campbell can help fight off a real-life monster. Campbell finds himself battling a dragon and trying to make a good impression on a teen's pretty mother, not necessarily in that order.

This movie is a pretty fun satire on celebrity culture. I can imagine Bruce Campbell laughing at the script and having fun playing an arrogant, cowardly jerk. He can't take himself too seriously!

He seems like a genuinely good guy. I've never been someone who too interested in meeting celebrities. But he's one of the few on a short list I wouldn't mind meeting. Seems like a fun guy to have a beer with, bet he has alot of good stories.

I'm kinda surprised it's not one I see mentioned more, It is a awesome one. It's one of my favorites with him outside the Evil dead franchise. There's not much with him I don't like though. He's a talented guy.

Thanks, I hadn’t heard about this release. I am here for anything Bruce Campbell.

Related but unrelated, this reminded me of an old 80s movie, They Call Me Bruce.

No problem, I hope you enjoy it. I never heard of they call me bruce. That one looks like pretty funny too, I might try to give that one in the next few days. So thanks for the recommendation too.

Off Topic but I was listening to the Bruce Campbell audiobook(s) and he mentioned this movie and the the hilarious amount of set-building they did for it in his own backyard. Pretty fascinating listen overall and I highly recommend it.

That sounds like it could be pretty neat. I've never listened to a audio book but it's something I've always thought about giving a try. I use to listen to alot of podcasts while I was working at one of my past jobs and really enjoyed them. What was his book called? I might give it a go

His younger years up until ~2007 are covered in "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor" and from 2007 to 2016(at least, I haven't finished it yet) is covered in "Hail to the Chin: Further Confessions of a B-Movie Actor".

Edited it because the name of the second book was wrong. Sorry. Should be correct now!
