There were a few times that I thought this was going to get interesting, in a few different ways, but it always seemed to take the blandest option when progressing the plot. The action was really lackluster (I laughed out loud when Jinta's arm was cut off because it looked like it just popped off for no reason) and the story felt like it was edgy for the sake of being edgy. I'm curious what kind of show this will be once it settles in (ep 1 was very much a prologue so I'm guessing we'll figure that out in ep 2), but I'm not hopeful. I give the premiere a 2/5

Also, the moral of the story appeared to be "never trust someone who's different from you, even if they are a literal child" which is, uh.... something....

That was umm... interesting...

The start felt on the predictable side of things. There were twists, but they didn't have much of an impact on me.

It didn't "spark joy" in me, I'll put it that way.

Then the whole scene changes, so we'll have to watch the next episode to see how things pan out.

I totally didn't plan to watch this but first episode was surprisingly good. The action scenes weren't great but storytelling hooked me in right from the start. I'm still gonna be cautious though, because the studio's reputation is in the gutter. Let's hope this won't crash and burn this time.
