Presumably there was a contract that had been signed for them to be in the show. There is probably a safety clause that let's them kick them out.

International Auto Show

The Vancouver International auto show absolutely: • Is not, and will never be, in the US. • has international participation. This year the usual European supercars weren't present, but that is more of a "recovering from covid" issue for the show.

Yes there are all automakers that sell cars in the US at least in the NY International auto show.

Toyota, Hyundai/Kia and Subaru are taking up more space than the entire US industry, and most of the German brands will be there too. GM isn’t even showing anything new this year.

I used to love going to the Detroit auto show as a kid, but haven’t been for a long time now and don’t need to see the tech wrapped in junk they’re selling these days.
