Speaking as an American, we're not buying these either

Edit to add: wow that finish looks like shit with just a small amount of road grime on it

I don't think they're road legal in the EU.

"Cybertrucks present acute dangers and don't meet European standards,โ€

Idk how the CT even got approved in the US on account of the lack of crumple zones. Itโ€™s probably one of the deadliest trucks ever made.

Grime and those huge fucking gaps in the panel

I think I remember a quote from Elon, something like: โ€žThere in no one correctly on earth who knows more about manufacturing than meโ€œ

[โ€“] [email protected] 19 points 2 days ago

Iโ€™m the best at it, many people are saying it. Top people, smart people, high IQ people.

Wow he and Trump really are two cheeks of the same arse: one old and senile and the other drug addled and insane.

I just saw a thing where BYD is offering a basic EV for 10k USD in China.

Got a BYD Dolphin in UK, itโ€™s been perfect so far after a year. They are bringing a super cheap one here too, I hope it does well and keeps taking funds out of Elons pocket.

I hope it does well and helps us quit burning so much carbon. But ya fuck musk too!

Look how badly the fitment is at that corner near the window and hood. That's waaay off.

Every time I see a Cybertruck, I start getting intrusive thoughts about sharp things under fingernails.

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

Snip! snap! snip! snap!

At is best that panel is held on with some glue. The zip tie is an upgrade.

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

I don't think Elon got those 10 micron tolerance panel gaps he demanded.

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

What am I looking at, here? It looks like a glass table or something?

[โ€“] [email protected] 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If you are not facetious, this is a Tesla Cybertruck

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Unfortunately a bad glass table, as the glass sheet sits on a slope.

You could remove the top panels and put them on a flat frame to make a large functional table, though.

Then you can strip the rest of it down to a powered trolly to use in industry until it burns up, or just recycle the parts.

I can't work out what I'm looking at here. Badly made greenhouse? Some sort of giant grill/cooker?

[โ€“] [email protected] 21 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'm guessing one of Elon's comedy fall apart cars.

[โ€“] [email protected] 11 points 2 days ago

โ€œElons comedy fall apart carsโ€ actually made me laugh out loud. Thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m going to refer to them as from now on.

[โ€“] [email protected] 13 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Well, there's a windshield wiper, it needs a zip tie to keep its shoddy panel secured, and unlike other vehicles it's made of steel that can't get wet. That's how you know it's a Swasticar.

[โ€“] [email protected] 10 points 2 days ago

Ah, I see it now! I didn't recognise that thing as a windscreen wiper.

To be fair, "badly made greenhouse" and "some sort of cooker" are still kind of correct :D

@Empricorn @fakeman_pretendname just missing a slice of cheese

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

Trim piece that is held on by glue, if it fails - panel falls off. Which is suboptimal, as it's a long steel piece
