Im sure there already are plenty CC pics of prague. Whoever decided on those pics was just lazy.

Well yeah. Theoretically. But... Nobody has done that. Why wouldn't you just offer some other image? I suppose because it isn't as simple as you say, plus nobody cares enough.

AI pictures are indeed copyright-problematic but the training data origin problem is not up to us. The larger problem is: why make an AI pic when the city looks arguably better as-is on readily available CC-licensed images?

There are indeed uses for AI pics of Prague, such as the r/czechmemes banner:
