Another neat trick we used to pull during Uni was to snipe fast food joints which were nearing their closing time, because they usually dumped their stock on your plate so that they could close up faster. I always got about half an order extra (once got 12 crispy strips on an order of 8, the dude was literally stuffing them in the box).
