I highly recommend this website. As a fan of Hans Rosling, I have found Gapminder to be an excellent resource when I needed facts about the world.

No Foreign Land is a community driven website for sharing information about sailing the world, as well as sharing your boats location with loved ones or publish short blogs during your voyage. The creator is a Brit who sails around the world himself.
