Hummingbirds like to nest on my patio every year.
The eggs were about the size of your pinky's fingernail. Sooo small.

That's too precious. Those hatchlings! Do they reuse the same nest?
I don't think so. I looked online and it says California hummingbirds don't, but they'll take from old nests.
Here is the same mama, I believe, in a fun location. These are a string of small Christmas lights my neighbor has on her patio about 12 ft from the nest in the original photo.
Cool shot. It really hammers home how tiny they are!
