In some thread someone said that certain clients, among which Voyager, were able to block whole instances. I’m not sure it’s true. Is this possible? And if so, how could I do it?

I don't think that has been implemented yet.

There is also a lemmy PR waiting to get approved that will help blocking instances in backend itself, which is better than current way of clients hiding the posts from blocked instances. IMO, waiting for that maybe better that doing, undoing, and redoing

Connect can do that. It hide all the posts from this instances and for the comments of people from this instance in another post it show "filtered comment from xxxx instance" with a button to show it.

I stopped using Voyager because I couldn't block the extremist propaganda from Hexbear and Lemmygrad.

Connect and Sync can do it.
