"Top metaverse creators"

You mean, fuckzuck's metaverse or...?

top Roblox and Fortnite creators

Oh, those. Dunno how stuff is for fortnite creators, but roblox would probably get a much better deal than their current hamster wheel

It's also super ironic that rockstar, who shutdown several GTA mods, is now looking into making their game "the place to make your ~~mods~~ EXPERIENCES"

The difference is by controlling the mods they get πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°

What ever happened to that metaverse thing? Facebook changed its name with great fanfare, then showed off some turd that apparently cost them many billions... Then nothing for a couple of years now?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

cost them many billions

More like $46 B spent with just $6 B in returns. With losses estimated to exceed $16 B for 2024.

Zuckerburg gets to jack off to his Mii avatar though...

They’re gonna give us Roblox with titties.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Sure. That's great news for everyone who doesn't know how damaging Roblox is. It's a platform, rife with child abusers, that's designed to exploit the labour of the children they are exposing to predators. They know it's happening, there's been loads of exposΓ©s and lawsuits. And yet they do nothing because they make a shit load of money.

I know you were joking, and almost certainly not intending "Roblox with titties" as actually a good thing....but it's exactly what they want. They want to make all the money from users being paid either nothing or a fraction of what CockStar is pulling off their work.

We're in the Biff-Timeline, Marty! I hate it, and I don't know how we fix it.....

Ya I’m aware of how messed up Roblox is. I went on it once to experience it. It seems like rockstar saw this and thought β€œlet’s make it less square and more titty”.

Pretty sure what they saw was the sacks and sacks in fat stacks of cash that Roblox and Fortnite pull in. Like GTA-O wasn't monetised enough...

Anyway, this conversation is getting me riled up, so as an aside....I fucking love pierogi!

And I love sturgeon!!!!!!!

Man, yer alright! πŸ‘

[–] [email protected] 19 points 4 days ago

That doesn't sound good.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 4 days ago

Oh fuck off

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Funny thing is they could have had that. But then they killed their entire modding scene for shark cards

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago

I swear Shark cards started out as a joke, like loan sharks. But people bought them anyway and so they leaned into it.

πŸ™Lord, I seen all that money Fortnight is making, and I want that for me!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

It reminds me of how blizzard shot themselves in the foot on this front in regards to custom games back on SC and wc3

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 days ago

couple of years too late. The metaverse bubble burst long ago. It's all about the LLM bubble now!
