Speaking of bad movies, John Rad was the name of Sylvester Stallone's character in the trashy but slick and high-budget flick "Assassins", also with Antonio Banderas and Julianne Moore.
That one was directed by Richard Donner, wasn't it? I have seen it, but hardly remember anything about it. Maybe I should give it a rewatch sometime..
Yes, it's quite unmemorable. Generic and bland and slick.
If anybody says it's not that bad, put it side-by-side with other things from the approximate era like Die Hard, Terminator 2 or Heat, and see how it fares. Or even another one of Donner's own - Lethal Weapon.
Complete with cameo by fake Stan Lee, it looks like.
