The controversial construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) gained national and international attention when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers accepted an application filed by Energy Transfer Partners, a Texas-based developer behind the project.

The position of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is that the Dakota Access Pipeline violates Article II of the Fort Laramie Treaty, which guarantees the "undisturbed use and occupation" of reservation lands surrounding the proposed location of the pipeline. In 2015 the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, operating as a sovereign nation , passed a resolution regarding the pipeline stating that "the Dakota Access Pipeline poses a serious risk to the very survival of our Tribe and ... would destroy valuable cultural resources."

To generate momentum for their cause and demonstrate their opposition to the pipeline, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe organized runs, horseback rides, and marches. Many Native Nations, along with non-Native allies, celebrities, and several politicians supported the movement and travelled to join DAPL protesters at the Sacred Stone Camp on the Standing Rock Reservation. Conditions at the camp became intense. North Dakota law enforcement officials and private guards hired by Energy Transfer Partners clashed with protestors, sometimes violently, and made hundreds of arrests.

On September 3rd, 2016, the Dakota Access Pipeline company used bulldozers to dig up part of the pipeline route that contained possible Native graves and burial artifacts; the land was subject to a pending legal injunction.

Protesters stormed the land and were attacked by a private security firm, armed with attack dogs and pepper spray.

Picked up a perfectly-fitting like-new real-leather jacket at a thrift store for $65CAD. It's been a good day. I'm eagerly awaiting cooler weather so that I can actually wear it.

OK, so yes, I did take a break from leading Maoism to frustrate an ongoing federal investigation. I have not had a phone for a long time now, and have been away from the organization. I hope everything is going well with Communism in my absence.

You, the Elect, have had a well deserved break from my posts. Instead of annoying everyone with poetic truths in the Shining Path, ands the obvious necessity of non-violence and psychic revolution within the Imperial Core, I've been studying the Pyramids, instead, as I am much further down the same path that Lenin saw through the Phenomenology of Spirit.

While reading the pyramids in Egypt and Peru, I have come upon contact with non-human intelligences. From these contacts, I have come to a larger understanding of our place within the solar system, and the Solar Federation concealed within it.

I suspect my words will ring a bell.

Certain posters on this website (bored feds, who spend their days trying to incite violence and division) will not welcome my return, and will shout down my good idea, which is to use the "Fediverse" as a point of first contact between humanity and the Solar Fediverse. The terrestrials won't have a choice, however, because my words are backed by the very real power of the Solar Federation.

Consider the Heavens with due care: more information will be distributed subconsciously in a series of dreams, provided to you by the Mercurians, through the Autumnal Equinox.

i made some kickass pork ribs last night at work and I think next time I wanna do like a sauce like this instead of what the chef did (which was like add chipotle puree to barbecue sauce from a jug that was way too sweet, then add sugar to it)

oh man, what if I slice a bunch of jalapenos and throw them in after I bring this sauce to a boil, let it cool strain them out, have some spicier sauce + quick pickled jalapeno slices to use as toppings

I like the new Adventure Time series because Finn is actually an adventurer in this one. Near the end of the series he just kinda ate shit when he fought anyone. Now he actually can hold his own in a fight which honestly should have been his character from the beginning.

Like why was PB sending him on numerous adventures when he was more or less just an energetic 13 year old who would get decked by any competent adult?

I like how people on TV will order pizza for a sizeable group of friends and then the pizza delivery guy shows up with one (1) pizza.

Once in a while I get stimulus-overloaded from like shopping at markets and such, or similar things that take a lot of mental energy, and I think it might be fixable with sugar? I got it today and remembered that pro gamers will eat chocolate to get a bit of sugar to the brain. So I tried something similar and now I feel much better.
