A reddit thread about this is what actually led me here. Reddit has been on my shit list for a while, it's cool this place exists.

You are correct. I didn't realize how shit it was until I focused on being more security minded. I ditched almost all centralized social media. I'm working to get rid of Facebook and hopefully google next. That's going to be hard .
Could there be a better example of why not to remain on Reddit?

I missed reddit simply because I can't find the fucking porn on Lemmy (though I realize now that it might be because I"m on lemm.ee)

Most have come back, /drugs for example. The admins said its a glitch, I can't beleive that and glad I'm here. I have no doubt reddit will get on its knees in the name of $$$$$$.
