Normal to have Higher Data Sent vs Data Received on macOS? (zerobytes.monster)

Is it normal to have a higher amount of "data sent" to "data received" in the "activity monitor" on a macbook? Ex. 5gb recevied to 18gb sent, 50gb received to 80gb sent, through the mullvad-daemon. Is this usual?
