A sub devoted to highlighting the ridiculous cost of living in Canada right now. We’d like to thank our corporate overlord Galen Weston Jr. of Loblaws for continually raising grocery prices so he can get a big fat bonus cheque every year while the rest of Canadians struggle to make ends meet.

What is this Loblaws and why is it so hated? Is it like a Canadian Walmart?
Something that the other comments aren't mentioning, is that Loblaws owns like 20 different store chains in Canada, including some specifically named to trick you into thinking they are mom and pop stores.
Price gouging while blaming inflation. While not a monopoly they're like the biggest fish in a small pond and engage in shitty business practices.
keep up both your boycotts, fuck them all. Stay strong!
Canada's most evil company
In addition to the other commenter: Loblaws is primarily a grocer, unlike Walmart which is primarily general goods. The "shitty business practices" that Loblaws employs directly impacts Canadians' cost of living. Were it like Walmart I'd be less inclined to boycott them.
