I've been using the AOD for the last year with 0 issues, so I'm not too concerned
One tip is to leave the phone face down when you aren't gonna look at it for a long period of time, as the aod will turn itself off
Using the pixel 6 since may last year. The always on display hasn't burned in whilst my notification area and homebar have. The notification area having burned in is due to me having my brightness at max all of the time. Under normal usage it probably won't happen that quickly.
Not an expert, but I gather the power of the aod is too little to cause burn in
