Summary

Donald Trump faced backlash from his MAGA base after siding with Elon Musk’s defense of immigration visas, like H1Bs, used by businesses to hire foreign talent.

Many Trump supporters criticized this stance as contradictory to his “America First” promises, arguing H1Bs harm American workers by displacing them with cheaper labor.

Trump released his position through a conservative outlet, avoiding direct posts on the issue, but his Truth Social account was flooded with complaints from long-time supporters.

The controversy highlights growing divisions within the MAGA movement over immigration and corporate priorities.

Yes. You've been warned repeatedly that you put your trust in a group of lying con men. Now you get to find out about the con and experience that lesson first hand, because apparently that's the only way you learn things, by suffering.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I don’t think they will ever learn

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They didn't learn last time, though this time he does seem to be more directly hurting them

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

This time he doesn't need them anymore; they can't vote for him again.

His plan to still be president in 5 years will be by military coup.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Imagine taking a decade to realize you've been played.

Now imagine being surrounded by people that stupid. All your life.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

Those who remember history are doomed to watch everyone else repeat it.

Apes don't read philosophy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j3adcbEwSM

....this feels like so many conversations I've had with the bitters and the clingers over the years....except they don't even pretend to be interested in philosophy.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 days ago

Yes, for magic fucking beans. Now get mad!

[–] [email protected] 90 points 4 days ago (2 children)

He stopped giving his base a second thought the moment the election results were in, when it became Trump First. He has zero fucks to give y'all magats any more now that you've served your purpose, suckas.

I so want to have hope that this time, finally, he'll lose supporters.

I want to.

Unfortunately, we've been through this too many times with things that are far worse and somehow he never seems to lose them, not really, so...eh.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Does it matter? He won't be a candidate again anyway.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Wasn't legal for him to run this time either. Didn't stop him.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago

I keep saying his inauguration is unconstitutional, but if nobody stops him, it's allowed. I would not be so flippant about the chances of him remaining president beyond his 2 term limit.

This is one of those things I really hope I'm wrong about, but I don't have very much hope left.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Trump is a symptom, not a cause. This disease runs deep.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago

Yep. To quote Obama about something else, donvict didn't build that. He just walked in and slapped his name on the place. Kind of like "his" buildings.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Well he did lose supporters. Unfortunately a bunch of lazy fucks sat out this election and let him win with less votes.

look, all im gonna say. For all my fellow techies out there, anybody with an internet connection, and significant computing resources.

Now would be a VERY funny time to spin up a lot of "concern trolling" bots.

Putins playbook is very clear, cause confusion and disarray, therefore, nobody trusts anything, and you can do whatever you want. Who says we can't engage in a bit of foul play on the republican side as well?

[–] [email protected] 55 points 4 days ago (1 children)

OF COURSE HE IS! That’s what everyone with an IQ above their jacket size has been telling you! …you ignorant fucks.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 4 days ago

Those fat fucks aren't as intelligent as their jacket size lol

[–] [email protected] 49 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He entire second term is literally a lame duck term. He doesn't even need to worry about the midterms, its trump first, he doesn't care if republicans lose midterms. He has absolute free reign in the first 2 years, and even if republicans lose, he still can do a lot of executive orders that are valid as long as the courts dont overturn it, which surely the totally unbiased supreme court is gonna act very quickly, and not just delay taking the case, deny any requests of imposing an injunction on the executive order, and defend the executive order's constitutionality.

It's too late. He doesn't need you anymore.

[–] [email protected] 47 points 4 days ago

Good. Too little too late though, suckers.

[–] [email protected] 34 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yes.

That's his whole thing. In fact he had a book made about it. He'd sell out his family if it made him more money, and I'm not entirely sure he hasn't.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Isn't his former wife buried on a golf course of his for tax break purposes or some shit?

To his supporters: now imagine if you had thought critically about your boy before voting him into office. It's almost like your desires to be both lazy and correct bit you in the ass, since you seem to love taking the words of a conman at face value.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago

Same to all who said both sides are equally bad

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago

Gawd forbid they listen to any liberals.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Bitch. You been sold.

These pro leopard face eating party members don't even realize, they the mark. Hell they ain't even that, they literally cucks to Trump and capitalism. (not kink shaming. Do you) but for conservatives they are just happy to watch the wealthy and powerful. Deep down they know they'll never get to join in.

The hate is swelling in you now. Take your Jedi weapon. Use it. I am unarmed. Strike me down with it! Give into your anger!

Be too distracted by infighting to get anything done. Pwease? Pwetty Pwease?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 days ago

They forgot their place. Back in line behind your idiot god, morons.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 4 days ago

Selling out is the only thing he ever does

[–] [email protected] 15 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Duh, this is the broligarchy we are talking about here. Of course they would love to fuck over Americans by flooding the market with cheap indentured servants.

Anyone voting for donvict thinking otherwise is about to find out.

[–] glitchead 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Donvict... this is getting added to my growing list of nicknames

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago

Just heard "Muskrat" the other day. The little joys.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Hahahaha leopards hahahaha faces hahhahahhaHA!!!! It’s really the only thing sustaining me at this point. To stay alive long enough to see maga take it up the bum.

He didn't sell you out as much as he just gave you away. Like trash. Because that's what he thinks of you.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago

I have trouble not thinking of them the same way.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

What "conservative outlet" where? Why not name it and provide a link?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The MAGA voters can go piss in the wind. Hopefully the Orange Mofo does everything he fucking promised and then some.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 days ago

I hope he stays on brand and achieves nearly nothing. Your wish is a bit too damaging to America and the world economy

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago

The only thing worse than trump are his supporters who want him to be even shittier.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago

Leopards Being Fed Faces at this point.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 days ago

Idiots suprised that the idiot they votes for does idiot things

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 days ago

Yes. And they will convince themselves that is A-okay just like they've done for the last 8 years

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

Colour me shocked!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago

But they’ll elect MAGA again because if there’s anything this election has taught me is that Republican voters have really strong group loyalty, and most undecided voters are low information voters and cannot be trusted to vote in any informed manner.
