"Fatally shot"??? Murdered. She was murdered. Wtf is that headline?

Liability. He hasn't been convicted so they are being as factually correct as they can be.

On the other hand, if the headline read, "Boyfriend accused of murdering transgender performer Quanesha 'Cocoa' Shantel", that would also be OK as long as he was charged with it -- which, in this case, he was.

Well she was killed for being a woman and not for being trans...if that is even a consolation.

What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to her loved ones.

She was a loving and caring person who brought joy to everyone around her.

She had recently enrolled in nursing school, eager to channel her compassion and desire to help others into a profession that would make a tangible difference in people's lives.

"She was so excited about nursing school. It was the perfect profession for her," Owens noted. “She had a heart for caring, and she wanted to make a positive impact on the world."

It hurts to lose anyone, but especially someone like this.
