Rules
AI Art: While we appreciate AI generated art, there are more appropriate communities to post that type of art to. Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only. This rule includes AI art that was then manually manipulated (e.g. drawing on top of something generated by AI).
Nudity: Nudity is and has always been a part of art, but it may be something that some users don't wish to see or cannot view in certain circumstances (e.g. at work). If your work contains nudity, please mark it as NSFW. Work that contains nudity that is not marked as NSFW will be taken down. As long as the NSFW tag is used, we welcome nude subject matter.
Spam: Please do not spam this community. Self promotion is fine if you just want people to be aware of your work, but blatant attempts at spam will result in the past being removed and possibly a ban. If you aren't sure if what you are posting is spam, please contact the moderator first.
Conduct: Be nice, and don't be a jerk. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't be mean. Encouragement is always welcomed.
I say it all the time. This dudes art rocks and I don't shit about art
I can't identify anything in the pictures, but I like the vibes. Would looks awesome as a mural on a restaurant wall or something.
Agreed. Every post they make somehow makes feel stuff. I could look at the Mona Lisa all day and just see a lady.
This made me wonder about abstract art... Maybe it leaves it to the viewer to decide what they see, rather than the more straightforward "smiling person = happy painting"?
True but that is also true with traditional art is it not? Is she smiling, is she not? Art is always up to interpretation. But I agree fully that abstract art actually requires you to actually think as an individual. Traditional art sort of guides you to a general idea but this art requires actual ideas to form on your own. I hadn't thought about this much tbh.
Hope that makes sense and doesn't seem confrontational I've had a few glasses of wine and tend to ramble in that state lol.
Makes sense, especially for the Mona Lisa. It's up for interpretation but not in the same way that abstract art is.
You sell your work?
