I get that TikTok, YT Shorts, and Facenook slowly removes attention span, but how the fuck does it cause Amnesia for everything that happened before 2020?
Trump literally removed holding time limitations and changed the Criminal Only ICE focus of previous administrations so they could put women and children in cages deport children alone to random South American nations citing some ancient treaties.
This already fucking happened. All of it.

As someone posted in another thread, the mass deportations of Mexicans in the late 1920s/early 1930s ended up deporting American born Mexicans as well. So yeah, America deported actual American citizens because they didn't care or couldn't be bothered to check papers or whatever. Who's to say that isn't going to happen this time around?
Also, Trump said Latinos have a "murder gene," so he already thinks they're all criminals of some sort.
Everyone without white skin needs to get a passport and maintain a line of getting it. I.e. if you get fast deported you can have a family member mail it to you in Mexico.
Unlawful deportations happen all the time everywhere. It will happen and probably happened quite often in the last years
This happened in operation wetback under the Eisenhower admin. So it happened after wwii as well.
They will grab anyone they can get their hands on. Criminals will have the advantage that they know how to hide, and there are way more non-criminals, so Jose Average will be picked first, being the easiest target to fulfill the quota.
Also while some peoples definition of criminal is "murderer" or similar some peoples definition is closer to "you did or a relative did something not 100% legal in the last generation or two.
edit: some peoples definition of criminal will definitely include unhoused or non-land owning eventually
It already includes being homeless. The anti camping bans are straight up making it illegal to camp without a house to go back to.
Aren't criminals already being deported if they are caught? He was clear that he is after immigrants (in some speeches illegal, but in some even legal)

That combined with the shenanigans of social media the last few years, yep, low information voters only wind up hearing the lies they were meant to hear.
The trump admin couldn't be bothered to keep the children and parents together while caging immigrants last time--why would anyone expect him to differentiate the legals from the illegals?
They made "migrating" a crime, so, yeah, leopards...face...
