I’ve recently been fascinated by lichen. I never knew they are a symbiosis of fungi and algae!

It's just such a huge part of our environment people should know about & account for it in their perspective of the the world.
Oh, nah, it’s just a meme. My wife has a biology degree and my family go hiking and camping together a bit, so cool environmental stuff gets discussed plenty

I saw a documentary some time ago and that was mentioned. It was freaking mind blowing. I love the concept. I guess we barely know anything about how it works.
