Fourteen bullets fired at a home near Victoria. An Edmonton building torched by arsonists carrying a red jerrycan. A 39-year-old found dead in a Winnipeg duplex

The crimes are among several across Canada that were allegedly part of an Indian government campaign against activists and opponents of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He noted that Modi had said in a speech in May, “This is the new India, the new India comes into your home to kill you.”

Well, that's not good. That's even more fascist than I'd previously read about. Awesome.

In a statement Monday, the Indian government said it “strongly rejects these preposterous imputations and ascribes them to the political agenda of the Trudeau Government that is centered around vote bank politics.”

Oh, well in that case…

At some point, Canada is gonna have to declare India an enemy and cut off diplomatic ties. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. Maybe because a lot of manufacturing wants to move to India so they don't want to hurt trade?

Without that their political movement will die.

As it should. I'm not expecting Indian society to get better anytime soon but splitting these fuckers across different parties would be a good start. Then the infighting should keep them away from power.

This kind of stuff has been an open secret for a while. The Modi government has a reputation for targeting Khalistan activists, and these incidents fit the pattern. Canada’s decision to publicly call it out just exposes what’s already been happening, and it’s about time the truth is addressed head-on, even if it means straining diplomatic relations.

India has 400 million enslaved Dalits upholding its economy. Married women can be raped by their husbands all day every day with no consequences. Religious violence against muslims is being supported by their government. I WANT strained relations with Modi's India.

Edit: sorry, that's 166 million Dalit slaves, my mistake.

What? Approximately fourth of Indian population is slaves? Got any sources to back it up?

Married women can be raped by their husbands all day every day with no consequences.

There's controversy about marital rape (a separate law specifically for it) going on and that is unfortunate. My country can do a lot more about law and order. But this is baseless claim. No consequences? Women can still file a complaint under domestic violence. And only women can file such complaint (IPC section 498A).

Please use any search engine before saying nonsense.

Sorry, you're correct, it's only 166 million Dalits slaves upholding the economy. If they were their own cou try it'd be the 9th largest in the world. It's one of the biggest human rights crises on the planet but because those atrocities make the right people rich we never hear about it.
