2. Be civil
  • Understand the difference between a joke and an insult.
  • Do not harrass or attack members of the community for any reason.
  • Leave remarks of "peasantry" to the PCMR community. If you dislike an OS/service/application, attack the thing you dislike, not the individuals who use it. Some people may not have a choice.

    🎢*Say what you wanna say

And let the words fall out

Honestly, I wanna see you be racist*🎢

This reminds me of the song by Johnathan Coulton, "Brave".

    A part of the chorus:

When I torch the place And cover up my face That will make me brave

Classic Pixar movie but the 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 flags are red

    FDNY: New York's racistest.

To be fair, they go into a burning building and come out in blackface

she didn't say "say racist when you want to say brave". how does someone find this funny?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Well, she essentially did, she's inferring "Say what you actually meanβ€œ, so say racist instead of brave.

Not really... You seem to be the only one having an issue with it.

I got a chuckle out of imagining browser discussions where brave was replaced with racist.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

We're having trouble integrating Night mode into Racist Browser.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

It's not funny, it's just sad. And so are you.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Is this about trump followers or did brave the browser do something? Since it's on Linux memes, I am guessing it's the later.

There were some scandals about the CEO being homophobe and anti-Covid.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

I'd be more worried of they were pro-Covid

I remember a time back when I still used twitter, thinking: "oh guess I'll follow that dude who created Javascript" then shortly after wondering: "why is there so much stupid shit showing up on my timeline lately?".

    The Racist Little Toaster.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Don't you dare! Toaster loves all people, especially the Master... oh I see it now.

Iron Maiden - Racist new world

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Sadly it's not even that far off the truth. Looking at Europe where more and more countries lean to the right. And the best idea democratic parties have is to copy right wing talking points in order to win back voters.. which obviously doesn't work.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

I've always wanted to love Iron Maiden, but I just can't. It's the lyrical delivery, like Dickinson invented the opposite of "flow".

Obviously the band is GOAT when it comes to T-shirts.

Brave itself is a great browser and their search engine is also quite good. Don't care much for the behind the scenes stuff.

I read the meme & I was like...what the hell's wrong with Brave?? Good product IIRC.

I don't use it anymore, only because it's too niche (and isn't it still basically Chrome, reskinned?). We can't make enemies of every fucking browser because of every stupid little thing.

I'm now on Mozilla Firefox, partially because of this community & its push, and now I'm hearing "Mozilla bad, or will be bad, because advertisements". 🀨🀨🀨🀨🀨🀨 Okay?? So who's fucking good? Is anyone good? Can someone, somewhere, create a good & secure browser without issues?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You can try its fork like librewolf on dekstop and mull on android

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I just might, I mean good grief, we need something good that lasts.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Look at the product not the creator. Oh wait the product is also ass

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Braves adblock is the only technology I know of that gets through the EFF fingerprinting test while still providing a usable experience.

Not worth all the ads and crypto shenanigans though

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

To be fair tests will always be biased. Also both Librewolf and Mull pass for me.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Every single post about ad blockers will be someone talking about how "good" Brave is. Drives me crazy.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

It is fairly popular these days which gives me hope. The fact that people are willing to give up Chrome is a very good sign.

Honestly the custom Firefox browsers are the best option but they are less well known and harder to use and understand. The great part about Brave is that it just works.

until "racist" is no longer the go-to word that the weakminded autoload to explain lifes puzzles, we will always be fighting each other. and downvoted by 17 racist autoloaders. point proven

i don't get what's going on in this comment section - are we going to be mad at some code for what a person says on social media?

i tried running Firefox on my 2018 budget phone and every https handshake takes 5 awkward seconds and it's more like 0.5 seconds on brave. it's open source, built in dark mode, and runs well for me. it's not even a gut feeling thing, on Android this is objectively beating the competition within the privacy conscious space.

i believe COVID is as natural and genuine as the historically evident spanish flu - but even if someone exists who is too stupid to get it, I'm happily enjoying the fact that he has nothing to do with me

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (4 children)

I'm sorry, I'm of the mind of not endorsing with my use, the products of those who want me dead.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

I might suggest getting off the internet and finding a completely self-sufficient lifestyle then. I guarantee you there are people that you would disagree with in person, in every supply chain.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

the same freedom that affords him the ability to be a dumbass in public affords you the freedom to not be dead.

though i do get the worries that come with the extremism spreading out.

most social media anger is trying to fix problems that aren't problems. meanwhile politicians get away not pivoting towards UBI. then we get more nationalists, and then we get more social media shitstorms. 😬 anyways, enjoy the ride everyone

Allow me to expand my point. If you are using a computing device of any type, you are using the fruits of the labor of IBM, Xerox, and AT&t from the 1950s and 1960s. That means, by your argument, you are glorifying racism, homophobia, sexual assault and xenophobia among other things. You should definitely get off the internet.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Better stop buying anything made in China then, what with the slavery and human rights abuses. And you should stop using oil and gas products as well because climate change kills. Good luck with that.

Imagine someone so lost and confused as to one’s beliefs that they go on a vendetta and post to the wrong forum.
