I would like something secure (preferably locking) and not made using cheap labor but I can be flexible. Obviously the keybar magnut isn't locking so I'm here exploring other options. I didn't go with the nite ize nite binder because I hear those aren't durable. I've looked at carabiners but either they're not locking or too big.

So far the best contenders I've seen is the keybar medium Magnut which has about 18lbs of pull forcem

I've been using this carabiner for more than 10 years now. it's thin and reliable but it's not locking

I was looking for a small connector to my keyring to my paracord bracelet. So I'm looking for something similar to a high quality buckle or something similar.

from the page: "1,000 lb. load-bearing buckle" and "PROUDLY HAND-CRAFTED IN THE USA" This is likely the closest thing you're going to get to meeting your stated criteria.

Yeah it's definitely at the top of the list for now. I've also been looking at just the buckle itself, as I don't need the strap part of it.

Do you know the size of it? I was considering locking carabineers like this or even rock climbing ones, however they're way too big for a small keychain.

Edit: oo gate .63 inches. That probably means overall length is around 1.5 inches. That's not bad

Is “cheap labor” code for made in China? If so you can just say it.

No because it can also be other developing nations, it includes China and also places like India, Bangladesh, Mexico, etc.
