Hey Lemmy,

What are your favorite horror movies from Blumhouse?

I went to Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights this year and they had the whole tram Blumhouse themed. I liked to watch horror movies during this spooky season, so i think catching up on some of these ones seems like a good place to start this year.

I like The Hunt (the 2020 film with Betty Gilpin, not the immensely bleak one with Mads Mikkelsen).

Maybe it's just because Gilpin's in it, but I've found it to be an enjoyable rewatch more than once.

Probably Ouija: Origin of Evil. Others we'd note in particular:

  • Oculus 2014
  • Dark Skies 2013
  • The Veil 2016
  • The Lords of Salem 2013
  • The Hunt 2020
  • M3GAN 2023
  • Jessabelle 2014
  • Dashcam 2022

thanks !

so many movies i wasn't even aware were Blumhouse productions; I have many to pick now for my Hallooween film list :D

Truth or Dare was so bad it turned out funny.

This is much tougher than I thought it would be.

I think I would probably give it to Get Out, but there's some really good honorable mentions:

  • Happy Death Day
  • The Invisible Man
  • The Deep House

Number 1 is Get Out but Insidious is a close second and Paranormal Activity 2 is not far behind
