Cocktails, the libationary art!
A place for conversation about cocktails, ingredients, home mixology, the bar industry or liquor industry, glassware - this is not an exhaustive list. If you think it's in some way related to cocktails it's probably fine.
If you post something you didn't create give credit whenever possible.
Pictures and recipes are encouraged when posting a drink as a standalone post. Example of an ideal drink post:

We love garnishes.
Remember the code of conduct, keep it nice. In terms of cocktails- specific etiquette that might be different from other communities:
Mentioning your blog, insta, website, book or bar is allowed, yes. For now at least, we do allow self-promotion. If it gets out of hand this might change.
A good post with a drink you don't like is still a good post! Try not to conflate the drink and the post or poster. If someone has a relevant title, gorgeous photo and clearly formatted recipe of what you consider a truly terrible drink, a comment is more appropriate than a downvote.
On that topic: Polite critique/reviews of drinks (or posts, images, etc.) is allowed here. Encouraged , even. It's a good tool for improving your drinks and content. Really, just be nice.
Jameson old fashioned is my jam. Just started drinking a few years ago, but it's already a favorite drink.
Hard seltzer. Blueberry I think? I’m one and done tonight, long week and I want to be productive tomorrow.
I’ve recently been having trouble understanding why I give up 5 days for work and get two days to myself and not the other way around.
"blueberry, I think" sounds like one of those satirical La Croix flavors, "sat next to a banana", or "memory of strawberry"
I've been drinking my way through Jeff Berry's books (Tiki drinks). My favorite so far is the Tiger Shark. 2oz each, white & gold puerto rican rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, and simple syrup. Shaken and poured over crushed iced with optional 151 proof demerara rum.
Corsair Triple Smoke Whiskey Old Fashioned with a splash of soda and a Lagavulin float. Cherry garnish.
Whiskey with a whiskey float! I don't usually like old fashioned but that actually sounds good. The soda water would help me taste it, not just be overwhelmed with sweet and booze.
It's really good. The soda gives it a wonderful mouthfeel, and the float makes for a great smokey finish.
Wrapping it up with a sidecar variation.
2oz cognac (ABK6)
1oz Giffard Abricot
1 oz Heirloom Pineapple Amaro
1oz lemon juice
Shaken. I had one, then a half one, that's it for the week, back to work tomorrow. Really delicious, cognac and apricot really have an affinity.
Japanese whiskey Highballs
Using a nice Sakura cask whiskey and a spoonful of simple just to enjoy it better.
A margarita for Saturday. Gonzalez Reposado, orange liqueur, lime and a spoonful of roasted pineapple syrup.
Prosecco cocktail made with home-made summer berry brandy
Oh heck yeah. That sounds like something I would like.
I'm a sucker for variations of French 75s and this honestly sounds similar.
Ran out of lime juice, so I've been making some poor man's margs with mango tequila, triple sec, and pineapple/coconut seltzer water. I have no idea what you'd even call this drink, but it hits the spot.
