I don't know for certain, but based on the screenshot I'd guess it means "Pictured" (as opposed to being dialogue)

Yeah, you’re right! I was confused since the subtitles are not English but Dutch. So, I’m not sure why it uses the English term ‘pictured’
It happened again and showed the text “F Society” which was written on a specific building.
in this specific case it looks like it's transcribing signs that are visible on screen, partly so it's easier to read for the mildly vision-impaired, and partly for screen-readers for other disabilities.
Are you seeing this [P] on subtitles of people speaking, or does it only pop up for these "descriptive" subtitles?

EDIT: So it is the text what is written on boards, buildings etc.

I actually never thought about that, I haven’t seen it when people talk.
