I’ve looked into this and haven’t really found anything that’s great, outside of using Home Assistant’s camera entity feature to pull the latest radar loop .gif from Weatherbug. A great non-foss app is Radar Omega. Some features do cost money but as a severe weather enthusiast I think it’s worth it.

Do you mean an application that shows your local weather? Or are you trying to DIY an S-band Doppler RADAR transceiver?
Hi @[email protected] , can you please elaborate (for me as non-native English speaker) what information you'd expect from a good "Weather Radar"?
Is it about weather broadcasts for your current region? Or something like displaying lightning strikes and rain clouds for your surrounding? Has it to be integrated into a home automation? ...

But I’m not sure what kind of software they want. USA's National weather service lets you Download map images but I haven’t seen raw feeds or anything like that
