There’s no following people here. That’s fine. But sometimes we might be interested in what a particular person has to say and want to check in to their posts.

That’s actually easy on lemmy. A users profile page shows all their posts and comments with sorting abilities too.

But there’s no easy way to save users to a list or something for future reference.

Apps could easily provide this. Just a thought.

This is something I was thinking about for instance assistant, because it's annoying to keep searching the few communities I'm posting in.

I was thinking of a list in the sidebar, with a max depth, of the favourited users & communities. Would that be helpful?

Sounds so! Don’t know what you mean by max depth, and I haven’t used instance assistant, but I have used alexandrite’s feature of saving communities to a favourites list and it’s definitely nice and useful.

Ah yea sorry, that bit wasn't important. More just me planning out how I could implement it

Just that it would display the first 5 or so, and have the rest hidden away until you expand it :)
